Warren County Head Start is proud to offer home based head start programs to pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers across Warren County, including Glens Falls, Queensbury, Warrensburg, Chestertown, Lake Luzerne, and Lake George.
Parents and children work together with a Home Visitor once a week for 90 minutes. Twice a month there is an opportunity to meet with other children and parents in a group setting .

Home Based Visitor Staff Bios
Hi, my name is Hallie Smith. I have been working as a Home Based Visitor at the Home a based office for four years now. I did take a short leave of absence to have my youngest son in 2018. I’ve been working with children and families for most of my adult life. I attended college at SUNY Adirondack and obtained a degree in applied science and received my CSAC-T. I am a mom of four incredible children, we have two dogs, a cat and three chickens! On our free time we love to explore the Adirondack mountains and know all the cool local playgrounds!
Hi My Name, is Carrie Phillips, I have been working as a Home Based Visitor for 3 years and more recently as the Home Based center Director. Previously I was an assistant teacher in the Glens Falls center for 12 years. I Have been working with Children my entire adult Life. During my life’s work I have obtained My Child Development Associate’s for preschool children and currently working on my Home Based Visitor Child Development Associates. Prior to Head Start I worked in local day cares as well as my own home day care. When I am out of work, I enjoy time with my family, including my dog Lucy, exploring the beautiful North Country. I’m a Mom of 2 amazing and talented kids. As family we enjoy music and art and I’m often found supporting my family in their music performances at local venues.
